National Chi Nan University (NCNU) has ongoing plans to upgrade existing buildings to higher energy efficiency and integrate renewable energy. Since 2022, the university has collaborated with private energy companies to install solar panels across campus buildings without capital investment, generating a 13.9% electricity sales return under a 20-year contract. The second phase, completed in 2024, covers rooftop areas to enhance insulation and prevent water leakage, while the third phase will expand to parking lots and sports fields.
In 2024, NCNU implemented air conditioning and energy efficiency improvement projects in the Information and Library Building, upgrading its energy rating from Level 3 to Level 1+ and obtaining a candidate certificate. The new student dormitory BOT project requires the contractor to achieve both Green Building and Intelligent Building Labels.
國立暨南國際大學（NCNU）持續推動既有建築節能升級與再生能源應用，利用148公頃校地優勢，自2022年起與民間能源公司合作建置太陽能發電板，採不須出資模式並可獲得13.9%售電回饋金，簽約期20年。2024年完成第2期工程，主要安裝於建築物屋頂，兼具發電、防漏及隔熱功能，第3期將規劃設於球場與停車棚上方。
2024年辦理圖資大樓空調及節能改善工程，將建築能效由3級提升至1+級並取得候選證書。此外，學生宿舍新建BOT案契約明定投資廠商須取得綠建築及智慧建築標章。
