國立暨南國際大學USR辦公室為響應聯合國永續發展目標（SDG 13：氣候行動），並落實大學社會責任，於2024年推動「臺灣科普環島列車系列活動」。本次活動以「科普、科技、韌性、生態與教育」五大主題設計互動攤位，結合科學教育與氣候變遷議題，培養青年與社區對氣候風險、影響、減緩與適應的基本認識。
活動於2024年在南投縣立埔里國中舉辦，由國科會科普專案支持，吸引南投縣各國中小學約200位師生參加。
全場設有18個互動攤位，透過遊戲與體驗方式，帶領學生認識氣候變遷對生態與社區的影響，以及科學如何協助減緩與調適氣候挑戰。
攤位內容包括：

🦋 蝴蝶棲地保護：介紹生態保育與氣候變遷對棲地的影響。

🌾 茭白筍殼炭化再利用：展示循環經濟與碳減量的應用實例。

⚙️ VR 虛擬實境與無人機展示：說明科技如何應用於氣候監測、環境教育與防災早期警示。

🧩 物理平衡與能源遊戲：讓學生體驗能源使用與永續思維的互動學習。
本校透過此活動將「氣候變遷風險、減緩與調適」等概念融入生活化的科學教育，讓地方師生在寓教於樂中學習氣候行動與永續發展的重要性。
國立暨南國際大學持續透過USR計畫、通識教育課程與社區合作，推動氣候變遷教育與韌性社區培育。未來將持續結合研究、教學與公民參與，促進地方社區的氣候調適與永續轉型，落實大學在地氣候行動的責任。
National Chi Nan University (NCNU) promotes local climate change education and community resilience through its USR Office. In 2024, NCNU organized the “Taiwan Popular Science Island Tour” at Puli Junior High School, with 18 interactive booths attracting about 200 teachers and students from Nantou County. The event integrated science, technology, ecology, resilience, and education to provide hands-on learning about climate change risks, impacts, mitigation, adaptation, carbon reduction, and early warning. Booth activities included butterfly habitat conservation, straw carbonization for circular economy, VR and drone demonstrations for climate monitoring, and energy balance games.
Through this initiative, NCNU embeds climate action and sustainable development into local science education, enhancing youth and community awareness and capacity for climate adaptation and resilience. The program is publicly documented via NCNU’s SDG news portal.
