Energy Efficiency Plan and Smart Low-Carbon Campus Project at National Chi Nan University (NCNU)

National Chi Nan University (NCNU) actively promotes energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives to achieve its vision of Net Zero Emissions.
In 2022, the university approved its Net Zero Carbon Strategy, led by the Sustainable Development Committee, outlining a carbon reduction roadmap focused on “talent cultivation” and “campus transformation,” with the goal of achieving campus-wide net zero by 2043.

Since 2024, NCNU has implemented the Smart Low-Carbon Campus Project, which includes transformer upgrades and smart meter installations to enhance energy monitoring and management.
Solar photovoltaic systems, launched in 2022, have been expanded across building rooftops, parking lots, and sports field shelters to generate renewable energy while improving insulation and space utilization.

The university also operates an electric scooter sharing system with nine stations across campus, reducing fossil fuel use and promoting sustainable mobility. LED lighting replacement, HVAC upgrades, and improved building insulation further enhance overall energy performance.

Moving forward, NCNU will continue integrating sustainability into education, research, and campus operations—strengthening energy management and advancing toward a smart, low-carbon, and sustainable university.

 

國立暨南國際大學積極推動能源效益提升與校園減碳措施,以落實「淨零碳排」的永續願景。學校於2022年通過《淨零碳排策略》,由永續發展委員會統籌推動,確立「以人才培育為核心、以校園轉型為路徑」的減碳方向,目標於2043年達成校園淨零排放。

2024年起,學校辦理「智慧低碳校園計畫工程」,進行變壓器改善與智慧電表建置,推動能源監控與節能管理。同時,自2022年起設置太陽能發電系統,逐步擴增至建築屋頂、停車場及運動場頂棚,不僅節能減碳,亦改善隔熱與空間利用。

此外,暨大推動電動滑板車共享系統,設有九個站點,鼓勵師生以電動交通取代燃油車輛,降低通勤碳排放。全校逐步汰換照明為LED、更新冷氣設備、改善建築隔熱性能,並規劃低碳建築及綠能設施,形成系統性的能源效率提升網絡。

未來,學校將持續結合教育、研究與校園實踐,深化能源管理、減碳技術與永續教育,打造智慧、低碳、綠色的永續校園。
