本校致力於推動永續發展目標（SDGs）教育，
透過多元的外展計畫深化社區參與、促進地方協作，並實踐包容性教育精神。
透過SDGs教育賦能社區
教育學院以「2024 水沙連親子共學嘉年華」為核心，首次整合院內各系所力量，攜手地方政府、非政府組織（NGO）、在地社團與青農，設計融合食農教育、STEAM 科技探索與全球公民意識的課程與活動，吸引眾多親子家庭與居民參與。活動不僅推廣永續生活理念，也促進家庭互動與社區凝聚，展現大學在地實踐的社會影響力。
社區外展與SDGs教育計畫
本校連續三年受南投縣政府委託辦理「星空導覽人才培訓課程」，建立全臺首屈一指的永續觀星教育模式。課程內容結合天文、生態與環境教育，
培育在地居民與旅遊從業者光害防制與暗空公園維護知識，協助推動合歡山成為永續觀光示範區。此計畫有效串聯地方觀光產業與環境保育，提升社區對永續發展的實際參與度與自我認同。
透過地方協作推動永續教育
本校透過 USR 計畫與國家科學及技術委員會合作，參與「臺灣科普環島列車」於埔里舉辦科學外展活動，設計物理、生物與環境科學實作課程，
鼓勵兒童、家庭與居民親身體驗科學探索。該活動強調 SDG 4（優質教育），以啟發式學習促進科普知識普及與終身學習精神，
讓教育資源能深入社區每一個角落，擴大大學社會責任（USR）影響力。
國立暨南國際大學以教育為核心，透過跨域合作與社區連結，實踐 SDGs 教育的精神，
展現大學作為永續轉型推動者的積極角色，致力於形塑一個知識共享、共學共榮的永續社會。
Education for SDGs in the Wider Community
National Chi Nan University (NCNU) is committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through diverse outreach programs that strengthen community engagement, local collaboration, and inclusive education.
Empowering Communities
The College of Education launched the 2024 Water-and-Life Parent-Child Learning Carnival, a cross-disciplinary initiative uniting local governments, NGOs, community groups, and young farmers. The event engaged families and residents in food and agricultural education, STEAM exploration, and global citizenship learning. By promoting sustainable lifestyles and family interaction, the program fostered community cohesion and demonstrated the university’s strong social impact.
Community Engagement
For three consecutive years, NCNU has collaborated with the Nantou County Government to implement the Starry Sky Guide Training Program, an innovative model of sustainable astro-tourism education. The training equips local residents and tourism workers with knowledge of light pollution prevention and dark-sky conservation at Hehuan Mountain, advancing sustainable tourism and empowering communities to actively participate in environmental stewardship aligned with the SDGs.
Sustainable Learning & Lifelong Learning
Additionally, through its USR (University Social Responsibility) projects, NCNU partnered with the National Science and Technology Council to organize science outreach activities as part of the Taiwan Science Train in Puli. These hands-on workshops in physics, biology, and environmental science inspired children, families, and local residents to explore scientific curiosity and embrace lifelong learning, contributing to SDG 4 – Quality Education.
Through these efforts, NCNU demonstrates its role as a catalyst for sustainable transformation—connecting knowledge, community, and education to build a more resilient and inclusive society.
