NCNU Leads Global Dialogue on Resilience and Sustainability: Building International Best Practices for the SDGs
暨大引領全球韌性與永續對話 打造永續發展目標（SDGs）國際最佳實踐
國立暨南國際大學（NCNU）持續深化永續研究與國際合作，積極引領聯合國永續發展目標（SDGs）全球最佳實踐的交流與推動。
2024年暨大舉辦多場國際會議與論壇，展現高等教育在永續治理與社會創新上的關鍵影響力。
「教育的韌性與永續發展國際學術研討會」邀請澳洲墨爾本大學David Gurr教授、美國愛荷華大學Liz Hollingworth教授等國際專家，探討教育治理、學校韌性及永續策略，推動跨領域對話，呼應SDG 4「優質教育」與SDG 13「氣候行動」。
同年，暨大擔任「臺日大學地方連結與社會實踐聯盟」輪值主席，並於2024年9月國際研討會期間舉行會長交接儀式，由武東星校長將會長職務交予日本高知大學受田浩之校長。雙方承諾深化教育、社會創新與永續研究合作，促進區域間的SDGs實踐交流。
此外，暨大主辦「亞太社會創新高峰會——韌性亞洲」，邀集13國政府、學界與非政府組織代表，共同探討氣候韌性、永續城市與負責任消費等議題，並透過論壇、圓桌會議與工作坊，整合數據分析與在地實踐經驗，發展具行動性的永續策略。
透過上述跨國研討與跨界合作，國立暨南國際大學不僅深化了國際夥伴關係，更持續貢獻於全球永續發展目標的實踐，展現大學在推動SDGs國際最佳做法上的關鍵角色。
National Chi Nan University (NCNU) continues to strengthen its role as a hub for sustainability research and international collaboration. In 2024, NCNU hosted a series of international events that advanced the exchange of global best practices for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The International Conference on Educational Resilience and Sustainable Development, held on the NCNU campus, gathered renowned scholars including Professor David Gurr from the University of Melbourne and Professor Liz Hollingworth from the University of Iowa. The conference addressed issues of educational resilience, governance innovation, and sustainability strategies, fostering an interdisciplinary dialogue that supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
In partnership with the Taiwan–Japan University Alliance for Regional Collaboration and Social Practice, NCNU also promoted cross-national cooperation in education and social innovation. In September 2024, NCNU President Tung-Hsing Wu handed over the chairmanship to Kochi University’s President Hiroyuki Ukeda, reaffirming both universities’ commitment to expanding joint research, community engagement, and SDG-oriented initiatives across Asia.
Furthermore, NCNU hosted the Asia-Pacific Social Innovation Summit – Resilient Asia, which convened experts and leaders from 13 countries for two days of keynote forums, roundtables, and workshops. Discussions focused on climate resilience, sustainable cities, and responsible consumption, integrating data-driven insights and local innovations into actionable strategies for the SDGs.
Through these academic exchanges and cross-sector collaborations, NCNU continues to contribute to the development of international best practices for sustainability, positioning itself as a driving force for regional and global SDG achievement.
