USR 社區教育活動：寓教於樂的水域保護
2024 年，水沙連學院USR計畫在南投埔里鎮舉辦了熱鬧的「水域安全暨杷城大排水環境學習嘉年華」，將社區、學校與地方政府串聯起來。現場設置 10 個互動攤位，包括水域安全體驗、救援演練、水質檢測及環境保育工作坊，吸引了大埔里孩童、學生和家長熱情參與。透過遊戲與實作，孩子們學會如何保護自己，同時認識水域生態的重要性；社區居民也更了解如何守護家鄉的水環境。這不只是教育活動，更是社區生態守護的實踐，直接推動 SDG14。

校園污水處理與中水回收：科技與永續的結合
NCNU 自 1995 年起積極管理校園水資源，將污水處理設施從 600 CMD 升級至 1,200 CMD，並建立中水回收系統。回收率逐年提升：2022 年 74.46%，2023 年 79.77%，2024 年達到 80.6%。水質監測也符合標準，COD 10.5–16.7 mg/L、BOD 3.3–5.5 mg/L、SS 1.5–2.5 mg/L。透過這套系統，校園污水被妥善處理並回用於景觀灌溉與生態池，減少水域污染，同時培養師生節約用水的習慣，實現 SDG14 與 SDG6 的雙重目標。

USR Community Education Activity: Learning through Fun
In 2024, the Shuishalian College USR program held a vibrant “Water-Safety & Pachi Drainage Environmental Learning Carnival” in Puli Township. The event connected the community, schools, and local government, featuring 10 interactive booths on water safety, rescue drills, water-quality testing, and conservation workshops. Children, students, and parents enthusiastically participated, learning self-protection skills and gaining awareness of aquatic ecosystems. The event not only educates but also actively involves the community in protecting local water bodies, advancing SDG14.

Campus Wastewater Treatment and Reuse: Technology Meets Sustainability
Since 1995, NCNU has actively managed campus water resources. The on-campus wastewater treatment plant was upgraded from 600 CMD to 1,200 CMD, with reclaimed water reuse rates increasing to 80.6% in 2024. Water quality met standards (COD 10.5–16.7 mg/L, BOD 3.3–5.5 mg/L, SS 1.5–2.5 mg/L). Treated water is reused for campus landscaping and ecological ponds, reducing water pollution and promoting sustainable water use, achieving both SDG14 and SDG6.
